01 — a note

So I thought about getting you a regular birthday text. You know — the classic "HBD! 🎉" with maybe a cake emoji if I'm feeling generous.

But then I remembered you're the kind of person who notices when a pixel is off by one. The kind who has opinions about font pairings. The kind who'd judge my Figma files if you ever saw them.

so obviously a text wasn't going to cut it.

Instead, here's a whole website. With proper typography. Carefully chosen fonts, a color palette that doesn't hurt your eyes, and yes — I even added a subtle grain texture overlay because I know that's the kind of thing that makes you unreasonably happy.

I've been thinking about what makes you, you. And honestly? The list got kind of long. But here are a few, for the record:

Honestly though

I don't know how to say this in a way that's not weird — but I'm really glad you exist? Like, the world is a little better with you designing your way through it.



And if you ever need someone to pretend they understand your rants about whitespace and grid systems — I'm right here. Always.
